FINALS DAY

On Saturday April 21st 2012 the Big League will once again return to the John Charles Stadium, Leeds, to see four teams fight it out for the National Championship and the National Challenge Trophy.

Of the four Finals Days which have taken place during the BUAFL era of student football, the John Charles Stadium has hosted two of them.

In 2009 the Birmingham Lions defeated the Newcastle Raiders to clinch the National Championship whilst the Bath Killer Bees won the inaugural National Challenge Trophy by beating the Hallam Warriors. In 2011 the Lions returned to Leeds only to see a record-equalling feat of three Championships in a row snatched from their grasp by the Portsmouth Destroyers. In the Challenge Trophy two of student football's oldest teams, the Cardiff Cobras and the UH Sharks squared up in a game which saw the Challenge Trophy title head back to South Wales.

Full details of the 2012 Finals Day will be released as the season progresses.
