The BUAFL’s Board meets regularly to provide strategic direction to the organisation, as well as considering and making decisions on those recommendations put forward by the BUAFL’s various advisors and panels.
History:
Andy Fuller was appointed as Chief Executive of the BUAFL in July of 2007; initially for one year – a period which was extend until 2009.
In June of 2009 the management of student football was changed. Andy Fuller accepted the role of BAFA Director for Student Football Development, a role designed to maximise the opportunities for the development of football in Further and Higher Education.
At the same time Russ Hewitt was appointed to the newly created role of Commissioner of the BUAFL. As Commissioner Russ was charged with delivering the expanded BUAFL National Championships and creating new competition formats for 5-on-5 football and Flag football.
In October of 2009 Commissioner Hewitt stepped down and Andy Fuller again assumed full control of the League and put into place the plans that both he and Commissioner Hewitt had been working on to create a Sports Management Group for the BUAFL.

Andy Fuller
As Director of Student Football Development Andy works with key national stakeholders to maximise the opportunities for developing football in Further and Higher Education and to support the Commissioner of the League in delivering the National Championships.
Andy acts as the principle contact for the following: Overarching Strategy for Student Football; Commercial Development of the BUAFL; BUAFL Finance; The Championship Game Event.

Recent employment history: Andy is a fully qualified teacher. He teaches one day a week whilst spending the remaining time looking after his daughter. Andy has also provided consultancy services to www.intosport.com although is no longer contracted to them.
